Frances Ogg 2014

The club’s Frances Ogg Memorial multi events competition concluded on Thursday where 55 young athletes aged 8 to Senior took part. The competition covered 5 events with athletes awarded standards in line with the Scottish Athletics Standards, with standards differing dependant on the athletes age group.  The overall Champion and winner of the Frances Ogg Memorial Trophy was U13 athlete Rachel Broadfoot who achieved 12 standard points.  A talented up and coming athlete, Rachel achieved standards in every one of the 5 events. The winner of the G & S CE Trophy was another U13 athlete, Iona McFarlane and U15 athlete Joel McFarlane was the winner of the Greenhill Trophy.  Only athletes who participated in all five events are considered when adding up total points. Medals are awarded to the first 3 athletes in each age group and these will be presented at the annual trophy disco.
